...and I've seen rain."

 I love the wind and rain. I do. Feeling the wind wildly whipping the hair around my head and the rain splashing my face is one of the most invigorating experiences for me. Strange I know, but I will go outside to be in it. If I can get to the ocean, I will, but other than that, it is most exciting on the property in which I live. The house is 100 years old and located on top of one of the highest hills in the area. An enormous pecan tree stands sentinel, towering with arching branches that stretch long over the deck. As it storms, it comes alive, waving all of its limbs wildly, shaking off its fruit, pelting the roof with startling "CRACKS!" leaving all the hulls scattered in the driveway and on the front lawn. 

As I stand on the deck observing the wildness whirling around me, for a moment all of my worries and troubles skitter away, leaving me feeling free and fresh to go inside and warm up by the fire.
